Surigao del Sur's finest destination..

“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.”
– St. Augustine

Taking the holiday off, we did our two days exploration to a province not known to us.

The unexpected twist of our destination and the most tiring trip for we had to commute only by van and a single motorcycle (scary ride..)hence, turned out to be the exciting, challenging, and memorable experience ever.

Traveling almost 163kms. from Davao to Bislig...

Our first unexpected destination was to Hinatuan Islet. This was my first time to ride such a tiny boat while the sea waves splashed untiringly.

The following morning, our next destination was to Hinatuan's Enchanted River.

Clear freshwater, blue lagoon, and characterized by thousands of fish freely enjoying the water...

Our third destination was to Tinuy-an Falls Burboanan, Bislig,
15 kms. from Enchanted River.
"Lord, how vast is thy gifts of nature..how little i am!"

"Trudging the top of the falls...catching my breath."

"God's wonder is amazing!"

Have a Joyful Christmas and
a blessed New Year to all!

Life is like a cup of coffee..

A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university professor. Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life.

Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups - porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite - telling them to help themselves to the coffee.

When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said: "If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups have been taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress.

Be assured that the cup itself adds no quality to the coffee. In most cases it is just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink. What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the best cups... And then you began eyeing each other's cups.

Now consider this: Life is the coffee; the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life, and the type of cup we have does not define, nor change the quality of life we live.

Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee. Savor the coffee, not the cups! The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything. Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly.

Energy-saving fan

The holiday season is approaching but I still feel the humidity around. Ah!Global warming! Are you feeling the same way? But thought of cost cutting and so instead of having the air condition on for long hours, maybe additional ceiling fans would be of great help. The good thing about this present time is that, you don't need to sweat around searching for the best or shall I say quality products and deal with the traffic along downtown area. Online stores are just clicks away!

I think one of the best things about purchasing online product such as ceiling fan, is that each detail is well presented from frames, functions, packages, and up to learning about the latest design and features. But of course who says you can't bargain? Actually you can. They also offer great discounts especially now that the holiday season is around the corner. I go for energy-saving fan and found Hansen Wholesale Ceiling Fans offering this great deal. You too may be in one with me. Find out who makes the Best Ceiling Fans here!:)

Elevate your domain

Why is web hosting now hitting big in world wide web? You don't simply own a domain or a site online here but you are also hitting your market around the globe. As an old cliche goes, "you are hitting two birds in one stone". You simply express your thoughts and rambling online or earn out of it. However, there are still some of us who are not confident in owning a domain especially when thinking of how much it might cost in a year. There are actually a lot of web hosting providers that offer their clients great deals to avail even the cheapest amount possible.

Now, as the latest technology continues to grow and even change, sometimes and even oftentimes it has become an exciting idea that as site owners, we want to elevate our own domain into the next level. This includes moving to a new service provider that offers greater services where our traffic is maintained. Hence, to have all your important files preserved, it is very important too that you know how to backup your website. Well, I do not know all of this in detail other than webhostingfan.com!:)

web hosting

It's been years and I'm counting! I actually don't normally count days, years, or moments but simply reminisce and value them regardless of whether they happened for only a minute, days, months, or years. Well, it's my journey online. People come and go but moments still linger on.

Anyway, thanks to blogging!More so that I thought already of web hosting. Pretty sure this has lots to offer just like what my mentor, Gladys, does. She has managed hosting on her site for quite number of years now. And indeed, it has become her online success. This too is a good idea for small and medium intrapreneurs online whose interests are into web hosting and of course, considering its colocation is already a big bonus.

Just as I do, you might also be counting the number of times you've been writing articles online and only wish to earn a great deal out of it. We have such a fastest growing technology nowadays and service providers like superb.net is of great help.

life

When we only see life with all its physicality and expect about what the finite things around can do to to us--we will only end up in frustration. The world is full of deceptions and that if we are not cautious to them--we become victims of our own impulsive judgments because by nature, man can easily adapt to what the world adheres him to be.

We are not supposed to expect too much from life but rather let life finds us capable of making it at least a better one, if not perfecting it. So much so that we will see our existence not only consists of a cosmic body of physicality that only aims for physical survival, but of soul able to reach beyond the beautiful that is not confounded in the naked eye alone but in the so many abstractions of life like love, kindness and sensitivity.

Only then perhaps, we can stop complaining from life and go instead to our innate capability, not confined with selfishness or ego but with the aim for a worthwhile cause ---maybe then life will have fullness and of grand meaning.

Sometimes in life, we can only be content. Happiness starts from within. It's a reflection of how far you've become while the rest haven't..because they choose to. Cheer up!Life is a celebration of YOU.

he only requires that you try."

Partners and Marriage..

" There are no formulas to making a successful relationship or marriage. Each step, I believe, is a matter of discovery. A discovery to the unknown..a discovery that others might have already conquered while some are still into the trying until they learn when to stop and simply realize what love is actually all about. Love is the most wonderful feeling where no one is an exemption..though suffice it all are amounts of sacrifices..of waiting. But perhaps good readings like this might help...quite long but somehow worth the read."

I have never met a man who didn't want to be loved. But I
have seldom met a man who didn't fear marriage. Something about the closure seems constricting, not enabling. Marriage seems easier to understand for what it cuts out of our lives than for what it makes possible within our lives.

When I was younger this fear immobilized me. I did not want to make a mistake. I saw my friends get married for reason of social acceptability, or sexual fever, or just because they thought it was the logical thing to do. Then I watched, as they and their partners became embittered and petty in their dealings with each other. I looked at older couples and saw, at best, mutual toleration of each other. I imagined a lifetime of loveless nights and bickering and could not imagine subjecting myself or someone else to such a fate.

And yet, on rare occasions, I would see old couples who somehow seemed to glow in each other's presence. They seemed really in love, not just dependent upon each other and tolerant of each other's foibles. It was an astounding sight, and it seemed impossible. How, I asked myself, can they have survived so many years of sameness, so much irritation at the other's habits? What keeps love alive in them, when most of us seem unable to even stay together, much less love each other?

The central secret seems to be in choosing well. There is something to the claim of fundamental compatibility. Good people can create a bad relationship, even though they both dearly want the relationship to succeed. It is important to find someone with whom you can create a good relationship from the outset. Unfortunately, it is hard to see clearly in the early stages.

Sexual hunger draws you to each other and colors the way you see yourselves together. It blinds you to the thousands of little things by which relationships eventually survive or fail. You need to find a way to see beyond this initial overwhelming sexual fascination. Some people choose to involve
themselves sexually and ride out the most heated period of sexual attraction in order to see what is on the other side.

This can work, but it can also leave a trail of wounded hearts. Others deny the sexual side altogether in an attempt to get to know each other apart from their sexuality. But they cannot see clearly, because the presence of unfulfilled sexual desire looms so large that it keeps them from having any normal perception of what life would be like together.

The truly lucky people are the ones who manage to become long-time friends before they realize they are attracted to each other. They get to know each other's laughs, passions, sadness, and fears. They see each other at their worst and at their best. They share time together before they get swept into the entangling intimacy of their sexuality.

This is the ideal, but not often possible. If you fall under the spell of your sexual attraction immediately, you need to look beyond it for other keys to compatibility. One of these is laughter. Laughter tells you how much you will enjoy each other's company over the long term.

If your laughter together is good and healthy, and not at the expense of others, then you have a healthy relationship to the world. Laughter is the child of surprise. If you can make each other laugh, you can always surprise each other. And if you can always surprise each other, you can always keep the world around you new.

Beware of a relationship in which there is no laughter. Even the most intimate relationships based only on seriousness have a tendency to turn sour. Over time, sharing a common serious viewpoint on the world tends to turn you against those who do not share the same viewpoint, and your relationship can become based on being critical together.

After laughter, look for a partner who deals with the world in a way you respect. When two people first get together, they tend to see their relationship as existing only in the space between the two of them. They find each other endlessly fascinating, and the overwhelming power of the emotions they are sharing obscures the outside world. As the relationship ages and grows, the outside world becomes important again. If your partner treats people or circumstances in a way you can't accept, you will inevitably come to grief. Look at the way she cares for others and deals with the daily affairs of life. If that makes you love her more, your love will grow. If it does not, be careful. If you do not respect the way you each deal with the world around you, eventually the two of you will not respect each other.

Look also at how your partner confronts the mysteries of life. We live on the cusp of poetry and practicality, and the real life of the heart resides in the poetic. If one of you is deeply affected by the mystery of the unseen in life and relationships, while the other is drawn only to the literal and the practical, you must take care that the distance doesn't become an unbridgeable gap that leaves you each feeling isolated and misunderstood.

There are many other keys, but you must find them by yourself. We all have unchangeable parts of our hearts that we will not betray and private commitments to a vision of life that we will not deny. If you fall in love with someone who cannot nourish those inviolable parts of you, or if you cannot nourish them in her, you will find yourselves growing further apart until you live in separate worlds where you share the business of life, but never touch each other where the heart lives and dreams. From there it is only a small leap to the cataloging of petty hurts and daily failures that leaves so many couples bitter and unsatisfied with their mates.

So choose carefully and well. If you do, you will have chosen a partner with whom you can grow, and then the real miracle of marriage can take place in your hearts. I pick my words carefully when I speak of a miracle. But I think it is not too strong a word. There is a miracle in marriage. It is called transformation. Transformation is one of the most common events of nature. The seed becomes the flower. The cocoon becomes the butterfly. Winter becomes spring and love becomes a child. We never question these, because we see them around us every day. To us they are not miracles, though if we did not know them they would be impossible to believe.

Marriage is a transformation we choose to make. Our love is planted like a seed, and in time it begins to flower. We cannot know the flower that will blossom, but we can be sure that a bloom will come.

If you have chosen carefully and wisely, the bloom will be good. If you have chosen poorly or for the wrong reason, the bloom will be flawed. We are quite willing to accept the reality of negative transformation in a marriage. It was negative transformation that always had me terrified of the bitter marriages that I feared when I was younger.

It never occurred to me to question the dark miracle that transformed love into harshness and bitterness. Yet I was unable to accept the possibility that the first heat of love could be transformed into something positive that was actually deeper and more meaningful than the heat of fresh passion. All I could believe in was the power of this passion and the fear that when it cooled I would be left with something lesser and bitter.

But there is positive transformation as well. Like negative transformation, it results from a slow accretion of little things. But instead of death by a thousand blows, it is growth by a thousand touches of love. Two histories intermingle. Two separate beings, two separate presence, two separate consciousnesses come together and share a view of life that passes before them. They remain separate, but they also become one. There is an expansion of awareness, not a closure and a constriction, as I had once feared. This is not to say that there is not tension and there are not traps. Tension and traps are part of every choice of life, from celibate to monogamous to having multiple lovers. Each choice contains within it the lingering doubt that the road not taken somehow more fruitful and exciting, and each becomes dulled to the richness that it alone contains.

But only marriage allows life to deepen and expand and be leavened by the knowledge that two have chosen, against all odds, to become one. Those who live together without marriage can know the pleasure of shared company, but there is a specific gravity in the marriage commitment that deepens that experience into something richer and more complex.

So do not fear marriage, just as you should not rush into it for the wrong reasons. It is an act of faith and it contains within it the power of transformation. If you believe in your heart that you have found someone with whom you are able to grow, if you have sufficient faith that you can resist the endless attraction of the road not taken and the partner not chosen, if you have the strength of heart to embrace the cycles and seasons that your love will experience, then you may be ready to seek the miracle that marriage offers. If not, then wait. The easy grace of a marriage well made is worth your patience. When the time comes, a thousand flowers will bloom...endlessly.

Get on with fashionable medical scrubs

My sister and my two other cousins are all in the medical profession. And so, this is good news to them, for sure.:) It's time to upgrade your medical scrubs and get on with the fashion! Sometimes, we become content already with what we commonly have on or ordinarily wear within our workplace. However, it's important too that we look for something with quality and would give us satisfaction as for our medical uniforms' texture and styles. From here on you'll learn to consider your medical scrubs' stitching, fabric and cut and be in your most comfortable get-up.

Learn about your dental office scrubs and make yourself simple yet still elegant-looking. Also look for fashion seal cotton scrubs where you get the only original scrubs available among all other medical apparel outlets out there. But among all these great offer, one thing that really interests me are the surgical scrub hats that come from different styles and colors. I feel like I want to include them in my hats collections too.:D

Knowing about blueskyscrubs.com for the first time makes me realize that nurses, doctors and all in the field of medicine could be at their best medical scrubs too.
Why not consider this one too as your new hospital uniform suppliers? There is never too late for fashion after all.

pinpoint...pointless

Don't know if it's human nature that when damage's been done, what we are actually good at is just pointing fingers as to who's at fault. The shocking and the bloody hostage-drama incident in Manila last night, got me impatient for that long wait in front of the tv screen as to when would the incident be over and what actions would have transpired from our men in uniform. I feel like the turtle-like movement of the incident from the length of time it started up to the moment it ended, mirrors the kind of justice system that we have in this country especially for the poor. Will lives of innocent ones have to be at risk because people handling the case aren't perhaps as efficient or reliable as they should be?

Now, the blame seems to be in circus- pointing fingers from the policemen including the SWAT team, the government and then the media men. Now what?? What sense does it have to do to the lives that were lost and to the survivors who experienced the trauma? The death of those Hongkong nationals became senseless only because one man seeking for justice about his case didn't get what he hopes for. We've had enough lessons learned,I guess. The horror of the Maguindanao massacre where case remains unsolved and this frustrating one. Now, what more? Should we all just let life go wasted just that?:(

Could this be true? My friend and I were into food tripping last Friday as our way of enjoying Davao's Kadayawan Festival, held every year as city folks' way of expressing thanksgiving for the gifts of nature, richness of culture, and bountiful harvest. We passed by this little sweets corner at SM and I, being naive, thought that the displays are real.(lol) I looked at them even closer with my eyes open wide while my friend laughed in disbelief. She said, "Evz, kon tinuod pa na, ganina ra na sila nangatunaw!":))

We were both having fun with the dummies and so out of discontent , I took picture of them.:P

be fit and free

Teens nowadays are more of explorers than thinkers. In other words, they act on impulse and go with the dictate of their environment, whether out of curiosity or fun, without looking at the ill-effect some things might bring them in the near future. But it seems like they're hard to control. The more we put limits to their actions, the more they become defiant and rebellious. But as we continue to believe that the youth are the hopes of our future generation, we have the obligation to guard them and protect them from a society that is deceiving and teach them the values they ought to learn.

But as I see it, many of our future hopes already resort to drug and alcohol even at an early stage of their adult life, as an escape from personal problems whether in the family or relationships. And if this will not be given solution, they will then tend to be dependent to these vices. While it's not yet too late to save the lives of our youth already addicted to drugs or alcohol, they must be given psychological counseling or treatment in a rehabilitation center.

Treatment centers are everywhere. Psychological dependency is addressed in many drug rehab and alcohol rehab programs attempting to teach the patient a few methods of interacting in a drug-free environment. Also a drug treatment or alcohol treatment with steps to follow in order for a patient to refrain from being a drug dependent. One alcohol treatment center online offers a unique combination of 12-Step therapy with individualized treatment plans to address the whole person, both mentally and physically. Let's help stop drug and alcohol dependency for a healthy lifestyle. Life must not be a waste!

a day with hidey..

Sometimes it's great to wake up late in the morning without thinking anything about work..to feel the cold morning breeze without rushing for something. I feel like I'm back to my school days when I'd always loved holidays. Never thought that even now, I still love holidays.(haha!)

My hidey hasn't eaten for days. She lost her pups. Her two pups died for she hasn't enough milk. I wasn't able to attend her from the day she gave birth because I was often out for work. She was just staring at me as I looked at her this morning. I could see in her eyes the sadness. Wow!Dogs are like people too. If only she could talk. I took my breakfast and have some for hidey. I brushed her fur and gave her a tap. She then ate the food I served her. I think she just needs attention. I guess animals are even more mushy than us.:))

have a break..

Was there a time when you feel like your life has been all work? Has it ever crossed your mind that perhaps you need to slow down too and relax? One of the most relaxing vacations nowadays is a day or two spent in beach resorts or hotels with family or friends. Every summer, my perfect getaway to make my vacation real worth it all is spending at the beach with my family. However, not all beach resorts that I only know, offer great packages. And so thought of surfing online that might help me in my search for a one-of-a-kind experience not only for summertime but during holidays.

Just had a great conversation with a friend online and asked if I could help her look for a resort wherein their family could spend a weekend escapade as she and her hubby will also be celebrating their wedding anniversary. And so I thought of a place in Myrtle Beach from http://www.princeresortonline.com being a very good getaway for them. The scenes and views of the resort, just overlooking from the Myrtle Beach hotel, are perfectly romantic.

Such an enchanting waterfront location for everyone who wish to venture of the place! Other than this, surfers may also enjoy playing and be entertained with the golf packages Myrtle Beach. It is very seldom for me to see golfing areas,a resort, and a hotel plus more activities to enjoy during your leisure time. All these round into a one great getaway. My friend will surely have her most unforgettable summer vacation with her family. After all, everybody deserves to have this very good break.

"Scarred People Are Beautiful"

Man speaks:
I've been hurt, Lord.
I have trusted and been betrayed at times.
I have loved and received nothing in return.
I have tried hard to care and failed often.
I have shared my secrets and, heard them whispered to others.
I have been warm and received a cold shoulder.
I have been through it, Lord.
I've fallen on my face.
I've banged my shins.
I've been bruised.
Look, Lord, I'm all covered with scars!

The Lord Speaks:
Maybe you haven't understood enough.
Maybe you haven't learned that human life is like that.
All saints are scarred.
Young love isn't the highest form of human love.
The greatest love comes from scarred people.
I know that many people stop loving so they won't be hurt again.
But those people who do start over again, who continue in spite of all,
who leave themselves open to the possibility of being hurt again --
These people are able to love again in a deeper way, a more understanding way, a richer way.

Man's response:
I think I know what you mean, Lord.
I've met people like that and knowing them gives me courage.
The great people are those who continue to love with their scars.
I like scarred people, Lord.
They are beautiful.

Go, figure go!

I am not good in numbers. If there's one thing I wish I were good at, it's about dealing with mathematical analysis. The only instance I barely remember that I grew to be really interested at it was when I was a sophomore in high school. I learned to love algebra back then. Maybe because of the challenge brought to me by my intellectual seatmates and my geek-like math teacher.:)) A teacher who would throw whatever he was holding if he found students not paying attention while he was discussing. I didn't realize these things until I found myself in his shoe. Once before, I thought of teachers as weird, resolute and strict. Now,I know why.:))

Still, even when I have reached this stage in my life, I so want to understand what is it about numbers that most students fear. And so I searched for one online. Learning numbers is now made easy with tutorvista.com. It's an online tutorial from 4th grade math, 5th grade math, Adding fractions, Formula for volume, Graphing linear equations, and even learning Algebra 2. One good thing about today's generation is that things that were once difficult for us back then are now given solutions. Arithmetic is not only made easy today but also real fun for kids.I remember a college friend's line each time we had mathematical problems to deal. He'd love to say, "Go, figure go!". Now with what surfing online can cater,I guess learners will really go along well with figures.

12.8.10

zahanie..

"Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. It is the Islamic month of fasting, in which participating Muslims refrain from eating, drinking and sexual activities from dawn until sunset. Fasting is intended to teach Muslims about patience, humility, and spirituality. It is a time for Muslims to fast for the sake of God, Allah. and to offer more prayer than usual. During Ramadan, Muslims ask forgiveness for past sins, pray for guidance and help in refraining from everyday evils, and try to purify themselves through self-restraint and good deeds. (wikipedia.org)

I am sharing this story 'coz during our field demo practice this afternoon for our school's approaching event, my student Zahanie ( a Muslim boy),went complaining at me about his condition. He hasn't been eating since the start of Ramadan. He looked pale and so I asked him to take some liquid or maybe just plain water but he refused to. Zahanie is a student who sometimes causes me headache inside the classroom because of being talkative, lacking of attention and focus. But as I saw him this afternoon during the practice, my impressions about him have changed. At such a young age, his obedience to the the Muslim culture and tradition made me think that, even as a young boy, he has perhaps grown to be matured and his sincerity in spite of it all, is beyond measure.

God bless everyone!:)

on getting into the virtual world

Today's advance technology has helped a lot especially about researches where ideas, opinions, photos and queries are only clicks away. Somehow, this is what our new generation's inventions that would perhaps be bragging about. Where anything seems instant. However, looking on the other side of the coin, gadgets may also drastically change the lives of our young ones. If they do not become in control about what's the latest craze, it's either, these stuff might end up controlling them. I guess everything is just a matter of self-discipline. Our young ones should be guided.

My being in the virtual world was just in fact incidental. But I don't want to elaborate at all how it happened. Some friends asked me about blogging. Though it has become and on and off routine for me still I excitedly shared how I started and hopefully will not stop from doing it.:)) For some, if there's one thing that any blogger would be proud of doing, it's about knowing virtual friends and then revenue sharing at the same time. It's like hitting two birds in one stone. Making reviews makes all searches easy such as the need for new hotel Dubai ( esp. for my friend, now working there), the need for a more affordable townhouse unit and a search for an apartment such as the HUD apartments for rent and more stuff available online. The virtual world is just like a one big supermarket where searches made easy. All these too made the lives of the bloggers real fun. :))

Well, haven't done this for a long while.

My salvation comes from HIM."

saving mother earth drive...

Somehow you would be saddened to go to the mountain and realize how much man's selfishness has denuded its trees. We haven't been grateful to nature, in reality. We simply abuse it and do things for personal gain. We then, have no right to complain when heavy rains would wash out our houses and fill our highways with water. If we cannot be responsible for the gift of nature, then maybe God would rather take it away from us so we'll realize its importance to our existence.

ON a one fine cold morning, the school administrators, the faculty and staff went on a tree planting activity. The trudge wasn't easy though, we had to walk for few kilometers to get there while dealing with the muddy and slippery pathways and a little rainshower outpouring the area. We were also warned of the endangered animals that we might see upon climbing the mountains. The trek was challenging but as we reached the area while bringing with us young trees to plant, we felt like we see hope for us and for mother earth..

just poses to ease the long and tedious walk..
worth it all..:)
I remain hopeful that it's not yet too late for us to save our nature. And that we can still do something to at least alleviate this global warming.

just touch..

sometimes we just have to be content with touching other's lives...and then let go.

What you really need is understanding.”

Formulating questions...

I just want to share this from one of my sixth grader's, a Japanese student, when I asked the class to write at least 5 questions you want to ask our new Phil. President. These are the ff.:

1. Why Phil. school books are big and heavy?
2. How will you take care and protect Filipino children?
3. Why the rule in the Philippines is not strict?
4. Will the Phil. be better in living esp. the poor people?
5. Why Phil. is practicing "under table" or lagay?

Taken from a sixth grader, sure thing these are her observations. If ever our President would read it, I wonder what would be his reaction. I was smiling when I read this yet embarrassed to have realized that perhaps, there are truthfulness in her query.
