the sorrow of my nation...

While we have not yet overcome from the struggle we have to face over the high prices of the basic commodities and the problem on rice shortage, typhoon "Frank" relentlessly hit our country leaving so many lives go wasted. Though its saddening to recount the crisis that we are now going through, I hope and pray that we remain strong still.

Watching over national television the damages that the typhoon left to us, while the capsized ship of the Sulpicio lines brought too much anguish and sorrow to the affected families...I wish we could do more than protesting and grumbling against who's to blame. I just want to reiterate that Sulpicio lines' money can never repay the lives that were risked and lost due to their selfish aim to profit. We're not talking in this case of mere mammals drowning in the flood but we're talking here of human lives! We mourn with the rest of our countrymen.

May we continue to pray for all the victims and for their loved ones that they'd left behind.

I've seen the news on all this tragedy in your country and I'm so sorry to hear what so many are going through. What a tragedy hit with that typhoon. My grandson's heritage is part Filippino, his mother and her family, and I love your culture.

I wish for many blessings and comfort for you all over there.

sobrang naawa ako sa mga kababayan ko particularly dito sa iloilo. yung mga testi nila. iniwasan kong manood ng news o magpunta dahil baka maiyak ako ng sobra.

we pray na sana huwag na maulit ito.

more and more big disaster happens because of global warming. the increasing gas prices is not yet traumatic but we can already feel its effects. commodities are higher now.

really need more plans to control this.

plus the power of prayer.

heartbreaking indeed. it makes one shameful of praying for his own selfish needs when a lot of people out there are mourning for the loss of their loved ones. let us just be thankful for what we have. not getting what we want is better than losing what we already had.
