Lenten reflection

Lord, I am not perfect. My shortcomings and weaknesses separate me from You. Take me back...teach me. Have me a heart that only see the inherent goodness of mankind. Control my emotions when I act on impulse without careful thought over its results. I'm deeply sorry for all wrongs I have done to others and to You as well.  Cleanse my heart with only motive of pure and harmless intentions. Amen
